Google's Broadband Service

Posted by Better Daze Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Google declared that they are planning to build, and test an ultra-high speed broadband network. This is an experimental project which is available in selected areas across the United States. Ultra-high speed? How fast are we talking here? Well, Google stated it's fiber network offer speeds of 1 gigabit per second. It seems like Google is trying to dominate the ISP business with it's lightning speed connection.

About 50,000 and possibly upto 500,000 people will benefit from this trial run at a competitive price. Yes, you will be paying for the service, anything good can't be free.. right?

Google has not annouced the target date for this to actually go online but they hope to get this up ASAP. More information about the project can be found here.
